Capacity Assessment Tool for Country Ownership of HIV Care and Treatment: Nigeria Pilot Report
In 2011, AIDSTAR-One developed a Capacity Assessment Tool to assist PEPFAR program managers in facilitating the transition of care and treatment programs to national and local ownership. In 2012, the capacity assessment tool was piloted in Nigeria to determine how the tool could be adapted to better assist PEPFAR partners with the transition process. This report summarizes the methodology, findings of the pilot, and recommendations for modifications and improvements to the tool based on lessons learned from the pilot.
